Maggie received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina and is a Registered Social Worker in the good standing with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (#6555).
With over four years of frontline experience, Maggie has supported individuals and families navigating complex and often overwhelming life circumstances. Her professional background includes frontline addiction work, crisis response, advocacy, and education and prevention within the sexual violence field. In addition to her professional training, Maggie brings lived experience with sexual assault, which deeply informs her trauma-informed, empathetic, and client-centred approach.
Maggie has three years of experience working closely with women fleeing domestic violence and supporting those who have experienced sexual, emotional, financial, physical, and other forms of abuse. Through this work, she has developed a strong understanding of the impacts of intimate partner violence and the importance of safety, choice, and empowerment in the healing process.
Maggie is committed to creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, respected and supported. Maggie believes that by reducing barriers to care and meeting individuals where they’re at, healing, balance, and a renewed sense of safety are possible.
